A Public Affair

A Public Affair

Young Collectors Circle, Oedipus Brewing and Dead Darlings present A Public Affair, an exhibition of art curated by a community of art lovers and collectors, combined with live music, talks and workshops about art and an anonymous multidisciplinary art auction by Dead Darlings. A Public Affair gives you the opportunity to get involved in the art world and tell your own story about what art means to you. This is a great opportunity to start – or expand – your own collection, or to simply be inspired by new people and artists.

My work ‘Snake Charmer’ will be part of this exhibition along with works of 27 other artists.

The exhibition A Public Affair can be visited during Amsterdam Art Week on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday between 12pm and 6pm.
Opening Thursday (31/05) 18:00 – 21:00.

This Art Fair 2021

This Art Fair 2021

From Thursday 26 to 29 August my work can be seen at This Art Fair.

Lately I’ve been working hard on some new works. I will be showing my new series of tapestries in its entirety for the first time. There is also a new sculpture made from rice sacks that will be presented. The work is called ‘Djudje Kabab’, named after a Persian grill dish.

Today is also the last day to vote for the LAM Entrepeneur Award. I hope I can count on your vote! You can vote here.

My participation is made possible by inversie. Find me and the other Inversie talents at the fair. I hope yo see you all there!

Bad Feminist

Bad Feminist

Joyful to announce that I am one of the participating artist during the Bad Feminist exhibition at Melkweg Expo. Even though I don’t consider my work as purely feminist art, it does share a lot of common ground.

Melkweg Expo gives the stage to contemporary feminist artists. They represent a new generation of visual artists who use their art to tackle feminist issues and they create a universe for the bad, the bold and the brave feminist.

Melkweg Expo provides a platform for contemporary expressions of the feminist movement in its latest wake.

The activist artists take on outdated patriarchal systems, misogynist language, sexism in music and encourage the exchange of information on feminist issues. Armed with the power of language and visuals, they spark small revolutions and challenge audiences with their installations, videos and visual artwork. Disrupt your understanding of feminism and feel free to speak out, question and unleash the Bad Feminist within.

NAP Nieuws has interviewed some of the artists including myself and wrote an article about the exhibition.

Opening February 7th at 18:00 ‘til March 8th. Tuesday until Sunday 11:00 – 23:00. Entrance via MILK café, Lijnbaansgracht 234a 1017 PH Amsterdam.
