Het Geheugen

Studio Herinner is the communication platform of Brabant Herinnert, developed as part of the national commemoration of 80 years of freedom in the Netherlands. It explores how we remember the Second World War and how memories of freedom and unfreedom remain relevant today.

From today, May 3 to 25, 2025, the StadsBalkon in Tilburg’s LocHal transforms into Het Geheugen, an immersive art installation where stories, video, and visual art bring memory and freedom to life. The exhibition highlights how young people connect the legacy of the Second World War to current-day situations.

As one of the participating artists, I led a workshop with youth, resulting in a collaborative artwork ‘A Hive Is an Archive’ now featured in the show. Together, we explore remembrance as a living, shared experience that invites reflection and dialogue.

My work will be shown alongside works by Elma Čavćić, Justin Ugochukwu, Lara Bongard, Lara Daams, Vincent Zanni and YAFF.
